Job Description

Job Summary:
The Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist performs diagnostic vascular and ultrasound imaging procedures, ensuring accurate results and patient safety. They operate specialized equipment, assess patient needs, and collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Select and operate ultrasound equipment according to exam specifications.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients, considering age and understanding.
• Assess patient discomfort or pain and coordinate with physicians for interventions.
• Perform imaging procedures in compliance with established protocols and safety standards.
• Document patient information accurately within the EMR system.
• Maintain and adjust equipment to ensure optimal image quality.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor of Science degree, preferred.
• Possess at least two years of ultrasound/vascular experience.
• Current ARDMS registration with certifications in abdomen (AB) and vascular (RVT).
• Maintain valid Basic Cardiopulmonary Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Exhibit proficiency in equipment operation and patient care best practices.
