Summary Maintains the safety and cleanliness of the assigned facility and performs light maintenance as directed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following (Other appropriate duties may be assigned.) Maintains cleanliness of assigned bathroom areas as well as replenishment of supplies including, but not limited to, soap dispensers, toilet paper dispensers and paper towel dispensers as assigned. Cleans and maintains assigned areas including but not limited to emptying trash, dusting, sweeping, mop/wet mopping, washing surfaces on a daily basis as assigned. Utilizes power equipment including but not limited to, scrubbers and waxing equipment to provide heavier cleaning assistance as assigned. Secures facility as assigned. Light painting as assigned. Provide set up assistance including chairs, tables etc, as assigned. Shovel/salt walking surfaces surrounding the facility as assigned. Maintain cleanliness of the outside area surrounding the facility as assigned. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum of two years of prior work experience as a custodian Strong communication skills both oral and written. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Ability to work in extreme (hot and cold) weather conditions. Ability to report to work in inclement weather conditions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, crawl for a period of 8 hours per day. Ability to work independently and maintain security of the building Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements.
