Location

Easton, MD | Acute Care – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Rotating Days/Mids (07:00–19:30 / 11:00–23:30) | Primary shift is days with the possibility of rotating to mids based on departmental needs | Every other weekend required | Holidays required as scheduled

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume combined Adult and Pediatric Emergency Department
• Manage a wide range of complex patient diagnoses across a pediatric through geriatric population, including multi-diagnosis cases
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4, up to 1:5 with lower-acuity patients
• Participate in care within a STEMI-Certified and Stroke-Certified facility
• Float within the specialty and to sister emergency departments as needed; travelers are first to float
• Adhere to all scheduling requirements including every other weekend and holidays as they fall

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact license at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required – AHA only
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• CPI certification required – The Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor; may be completed on-site during onboarding if not already obtained
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience required; first-time travelers with a strong ER background and skillset will be considered
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (permanent address); locals are not accepted unless explicitly stated otherwise

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a combined Adult/Pediatric emergency department setting
• Familiarity with STEMI and Stroke protocols
• Comfort with floating within scope and across multiple emergency department locations with no restrictions
