IT Support Specialist – POS Systems & Restaurant Technology

We are looking for a motivated, technically skilled IT Support Specialist to join an established and expanding restaurant organization. This position offers a great mix of hands-on technical support, remote troubleshooting, and working directly with restaurant leadership teams across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, understands the importance of keeping restaurant technology running smoothly, and can respond quickly when technical issues affect daily operations.

Compensation & Benefits

• $68,000–$80,000 base salary, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver reliable technical support to restaurant locations and corporate employees, both remotely and in person.
• Maintain and troubleshoot point-of-sale (POS) systems, kitchen display systems (KDS), payment terminals, online ordering platforms, and other restaurant technology.
• Investigate hardware, software, and connectivity issues to minimize restaurant downtime.
• Configure and troubleshoot network equipment, wireless connections, routers, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
• Manage basic Microsoft 365 administration, employee accounts, access permissions, and technical onboarding.
• Assist with POS programming, menu updates, pricing adjustments, and order-routing configurations.
• Resolve technology integration issues involving ordering platforms, payment processing, and kitchen operations.
• Partner with restaurant managers, operational leaders, and third-party technology providers to resolve technical challenges.
• Support technology installations, equipment upgrades, and systems testing for new restaurant openings.
• Recommend improvements that strengthen system reliability, efficiency, and overall restaurant performance.

What We're Looking For

• 1–3+ years of experience in IT support, technical troubleshooting, POS administration, or a related field.
• Practical experience supporting or maintaining restaurant point-of-sale technology.
• Previous experience in quick-service restaurants, fast-casual dining, hospitality, or multi-unit restaurant environments is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with kitchen display systems, online ordering solutions, and electronic payment processing.
• Solid understanding of computer networking, Wi-Fi connectivity, Microsoft 365, and remote troubleshooting applications.
• Ability to prioritize urgent technical problems while managing multiple support requests.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to nontechnical employees.
• Willingness to travel regularly to restaurant locations and provide occasional after-hours assistance.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
