Occupational Therapist (OT) - Rehab Inpatient Float

Role: Occupational Therapist responsible for evaluating and treating patients of all ages, serving as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students. Designs individualized care plans integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge strategies. Performs patient assessments, including examinations, screenings, and determining therapy needs using reliable methods. Utilizes evidence-based practices, adjusts treatments based on patient response, and monitors care delivered by support personnel. Provides patient, family, and caregiver education using effective teaching methods. Documents evaluations, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Collaborates with the healthcare team, communicates patient status, and recommends discharge and equipment needs. Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and technicians, ensuring quality care and compliance. Qualifications & Skills Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with valid certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days. Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field. Ability to perform patient transfers safely and demonstrate proper body mechanics. Strong clinical evaluation, documentation, and communication skills.
