FLORENCE TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT JOB OPPORTUNITY POSTING Position: School Guidance Counselor - 11-Month Position Location: Riverfront School
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid New Jersey School Counselor certificate or be eligible for a New Jersey School Counselor certificate
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Knowledge of counseling theories and effective individual and group counseling techniques in a middle school setting
- Broad knowledge of student testing, evaluation, and the interpretation of student data
- Experience implementing Social Emotional Learning programs
- Knowledge of MTSS, and Section 504 processes
- Understanding of HIB investigation procedures and the role of the Anti-Bullying Specialist
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents/guardians, staff, community groups, and outside agencies
- Familiarity with Genesis student information system preferred
