Labor And Delivery NurseSchedule: 7P-7A, Night Shift, Full-time (36 hours), weekend & holiday rotation required. This will be discussed further during interview. Two call shifts required per 6 week time tract.Department: Labor & Delivery (L&D)Location: Forsyth Medical Center – Winston-Salem, NCUnit Information: 21 labor rooms, OB ED, 2 Operating Rooms.Requirements: Either previous L&D or women's health experience is required for this position.Forsyth Medical Center named by Newsweek as one of "America's Best Maternity Hospitals 2025!What You'll DoProvide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, immediate recoveryAssess, monitor, and document maternal and fetal status throughout labor using approved monitoring equipment and nursing assessment techniqueRecognize and respond appropriately to changes in maternal and fetal conditions, escalating concerns to providers as needed.Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.Assist providers during vaginal & caesarean deliveries and stabilize mother and newborn immediately following birth.What We're Looking ForEducation: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.
