Job Title: Medical Surgical RN - Nights Profession: RN Specialty: Med-surg Mother/Baby, Med-surg Adult Duration: Temporary Position Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred License: Current, unencumbered RN license Certifications: Current BLS certification; current ACLS and PALS certifications or ability to obtain within one year of hire Must-Have: Willingness to earn NRP certification within one year of hire Description: Join our Medical Surgical team! This position offers the opportunity to perform a wide range of general nursing duties. You will provide direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical department. Care will include post-partum neonates to geriatrics. Your responsibilities will encompass medical, surgical, high acuity, rehabilitative, skilled, and pediatric care. This role is perfect for a nurse looking to expand their skill sets. You will engage with a variety of patient needs, ages, and acuities. Opportunities to expand into post-partum care and infusion, as well as wound therapies, are available. Cross-training in the Emergency Department and/or PACU is also an option. The anticipated schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off per bi-weekly pay period. Preferred qualifications include: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing - 1-2 years medical/surgical experience preferred - Knowledge of infection control principles and patient safety techniques - Ability to manage rapidly changing circumstances with critical thinking skills - Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent customer service and communication skills - Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality - Capacity to remain calm and professional in stressful situations - Reliability and punctuality with the work schedule - Flexibility to accept other assigned duties We offer: A supportive work environment and competitive total compensation packages.
