Welcome to Birdie Partee & Pickleball , Old Bridge’s premier family entertainment center! We bring non-stop fun under one roof with indoor pickleball courts, high-tech golf simulators, a mini-golf course, and a full arcade. We are looking for an energetic, experienced Head Bartender to lead our beverage program, craft top-tier drinks, and build an exceptional vibe for our guests.
Position Summary
As the Head Bartender, you will oversee daily bar operations, lead the bartending team, manage beverage inventory, and craft creative drink menus for family gatherings, adult leagues, and private events. You will set the standard for high-volume customer service, staff training, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Bar Operations: Oversee daily opening/closing procedures, maintain strict health and safety standards, and keep the bar stocked, clean, and organized.
- Team Leadership: Train, schedule, and mentor secondary bartenders and bar backs, fostering a high-energy, team-oriented work environment.
- Menu Development & Inventory: Assist in menu creation (craft cocktails, mocktails, draft beer, and wine) and manage liquor, beer, and supply ordering and inventory audits.
- Guest Experience: Deliver friendly, fast, and high-quality service to players, golfers, arcade-goers, and party guests.
- Compliance: Ensure all staff strictly follow state liquor laws (ABC compliance) and properly verify guest age ID.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bartending experience; leadership or lead bartender experience preferred.
- Deep knowledge of craft beer, spirits, wine, and mixology techniques.
- TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol certification required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs (kegs/cases).
- Flexible schedule with required availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
