Quality Assurance AnalystThe Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for evaluating the first run of production, reviewing pd samples and auditing current production of David Yurman product. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:Leading initial production approval process including evaluation of merchandise, documentation, analysis, and communication of evaluation results.Developing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for QA procedures to be used by DY Quality staff at any location.Creating Jewelry Inspection Guidelines.Performing XRF Analysis on incoming Components and Finished Goods.Performing scan of diamonds in First Production goods.Researching and resolving special projects related to specific product and process defects. Working closely with Repairs, Returns, Product Engineering, Product Development, Design, Manufacturing, and Inventory.Auditing in-process and finished goods products at contractors and suppliers as needed.Participating in the sample selection process and coordinating transition to the sample library.Participating in PD Test product reviews, providing feedback and approvals as appropriate.Assisting in documentation of defects and communication with contractors and suppliers.Essential Qualifications include:Minimum of 4+ years jewelry experience required.Experienced working as part of a team.Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing and inspection processes.Attention to detail with ability to work on long-term and short-term projects, including the ability to inspect merchandise for corrective action purposes as required.Strong organizational and written communication skills.Ability to work on multiple projects.GIA or similar gemology certification preferred.Education: Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Location: Lyndhurst, NJ. Work Schedule: In office Monday through Friday 8:00a-5:30p EST (occasional Saturday needs). Estimated Base Salary: $70,000-$80,000.
