Staff Pharmacist - La Vergne, Tennessee

Pharmacists are needed to support a busy mail order, renal specialty pharmacy with a high volume of prescriptions. This opportunity offers an engaging environment where your expertise in verifying medications and ensuring accuracy is critical to patient care.
Key Details:
- Location: La Vergne, TN
- Job Type: Contract (13 weeks+ with potential for contract-to-hire)
- Schedule Options: • Two positions: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM shift • One position: 1:30 PM - 10:30 PM shift
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Start: ASAP
Responsibilities:
- Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) duties
- Conduct final verification of filled prescriptions to ensure accuracy
- Verify correct medication and packaging against prescriptions
- Confirm prescription directions and hard copy prescription information align
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and patient safety
- Licensed Pharmacist with valid state licensure
- Experience with prescription verification processes
- Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with mail order pharmacy operations is a plus
- Proficient with pharmacy order entry systems, preferably Wellsky
