Director of Financial Reporting

The Director of Financial Reportingwill lead the accounting and financial reporting functions for a portfolio of commercial properties within a fast-growing real estate organization. This role ensures accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting while supporting operational and client reporting needs. The position offers a $140,000-$150,000 base salary, 20%+ bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. Why This Job Is Awesome / Your Impact Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team in a rapidly growing firm Play a key role in managing financial reporting for institutional clients and partners Contribute to process improvements through automation and cross-department collaboration Impact the organization’s success with your expertise in commercial real estate finance Be part of a collaborative and supportive work environment Responsibilities Oversee preparation and review of financial statements for various stakeholders including clients, lenders, and joint venture partners Ensure all accounting practices and reporting comply with applicable agreements and regulations Support complex transaction analysis, including acquisitions, dispositions, and debt transactions Collaborate with property and asset management teams to develop budgets and forecasts Manage onboarding and offboarding of property transactions and ensure seamless system transitions Verify the accuracy of lease data and maintain the integrity of accounting systems Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff, providing ongoing training and professional growth opportunities Coordinate with auditors and serve as the primary contact for tax and audit engagements Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency Credentials Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA or public accounting experience is preferred but not mandatory Valid license or certification in relevant accounting discipline (if applicable) Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of commercial real estate accounting experience 3-5 years of leadership or team management experience Strong knowledge of real estate financial statements, CAM, lease accounting, and escalations Experience with Yardi is required; MRI is a plus Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills Ability to work effectively in a technology-driven, fast-paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr ProPivotal
