A home care scheduling coordinator is responsible for organizing and managing the schedules of caregivers and clients in a home care setting. This role involves ensuring timely and efficient care delivery by matching caregiver availability and skill with client needs, handling scheduling changes, and maintaining accurate records.
Location:
Will work at the business office in Green Valley Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm. Must be willing to have the after-hours telephone on a rotational basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinating caregiver assignments and client requests, optimizing schedules to ensure timely coverage, and managing any scheduling conflicts or changes.
Serving as the primary point of contact for caregivers regarding scheduling and communicating schedule changes to both caregivers and clients.
Performing general office duties, including answering phones, managing correspondence, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Providing excellent customer service to both clients and caregivers, fostering positive relationships, and addressing concerns.
Coordinate caregivers’ requests for time off to ensure coverage for open shifts.
Maintaining accurate records of appointments, changes, and other relevant information within scheduling software.
Working with other team members such as care managers and supervisors to improve scheduling processes and enhance service delivery. Demonstrate courteous and cooperative behavior with managers and staff in a positive, professional, business manner.
Participating in on-call rotations to handle after-hours scheduling needs and emergencies.
Qualifications:
At least one (1) year of hands-on scheduling or dispatch experience. Caregiving or healthcare experience is a plus.
Proficiency in using scheduling software (WellSky a plus), Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant computer applications.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Must pass a state and federal background check, pass a drug screening, and obtain a level one fingerprint clearance card within thirty (30) days.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, caregivers, and other team members.
Ability to provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with clients and caregivers.
