Automotive Paint Technician

Talascend is currently seeking an Automotive Paint Technician for a contract to hire opportunity with our client in Troy, Michigan . Overview The role involves performing exterior paint work on vehicles in a low volume production setting, ensuring production standards are met and utilizing solvent-based paints for various projects. Responsibilities Prepare vehicles or parts for paint application, including masking and cleaning to prevent contamination Check that vehicles are properly prepped and masked prior to painting Weigh and mix paint according to program specifications Apply base coat and clear coat to vehicles or components Perform color matching and paint blending during refinish repairs Complete other duties as assigned by management based on business needs Qualifications Valid driver's license High school diploma or GED At least 2 years of paint experience in a collision or aftermarket paint setting Ability to multi-task while ensuring follow-up and execution of tasks Ability to paint entire vehicles while maintaining high quality standards High degree of organization and efficiency in a fast-paced environment Willingness to assist peers, teach, and demonstrate flexibility Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education We thank all applicants for their interest.
