Claims Specialist I, Auto BI

Zurich North America Claims is seeking an Auto Claims Specialist for the Commercial Auto team. Location: Hybrid – candidates must be based at one of the following offices: Atlanta, GA; Schaumburg, IL; Addison, TX; or Omaha, NE. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, suppliers, and brokers, to provide a quality claims experience. Apply knowledge of established protocols and industry best practices to resolve claims effectively. Deliver customer-centric service while managing claims within defined authority limits. Develop expertise in coverage analysis and auto policy interpretation. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance. Completion of the Zurich Claims Training Program with 2+ years of experience in Claims or Insurance. Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice (including an Associate Degree) with 2+ years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance. High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 4+ years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance. Prior experience in auto claims handling, insurance claims, or a related customer service field; understanding of auto insurance policies, coverage, and state regulations; ability to obtain and maintain required adjuster licenses. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Commercial Auto Claims, including handling: Third-party auto property damage claims Auto physical damage claims Bodily injury claims Active adjuster license. Experience collaborating across teams and developing strong relationships. Strong knowledge of the claims adjustment process, including scope/exposure assessment. Familiarity with vendor management and litigation strategies. Proficiency in financial and actuarial/reserving concepts. Strong negotiation skills, including alternative approaches to resolution. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Customer service experience with a focus on delivering quality interactions. Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Pay range: $49,500.00 - $81,000.00 with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
