ETL Developer

ETL DeveloperPosition will be responsible for the integration, expansion, and support of the North American Automotive and Insurance data warehouse solutions. The Data Warehouse Developer is responsible for interpreting, organizing, designing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments within the Data Warehouse.Candidates must have hands on experience with Oracle 10g or higher and Data Stage. Applicant will work closely with a multitude of groups throughout the organization, which will require the ability to communicate with associates with backgrounds ranging from DB development, Application Support, Networking, Operating System Administrators, Software Development Managers, and Business users from a wide range of operating units.Principal AccountabilitiesDevelop code for Data Warehouse in support of business intelligence projectsEnsure consistency of Logical and Physical Data Models for all Data Warehouse applicationsPossess a broad understanding of multiple technologies, including DBMS, ETL, Reporting, OLAP, performance tuning for high-end hardware and storageMaintain responsibility for global data definitions used in the Data WarehouseIntegrate data from multiple source systems into Data WarehouseAdhere to standards for Data Warehouse, including security, archiving, backup, and recoveryParticipate in architectural decisions for data transitions from source to staging to ODS to EDWCommunicate regularly and effectively with team members and supervisorsIdentify system and process issues then engage the team in problem solvingPlan and participate in cross-training with team membersDevelop technical skills comparable to other developersFill in for other developers as requestedRecognize accomplishments and contributions of team membersPromote an image of a high quality organization through expertise and responsivenessTake responsibility for assignment completion and follow-throughProvide high level of customer serviceEstablish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customersFacilitate satisfactory communication and resolution of problemsMinimum Requirements8+ years of IT experience3+ years of Data Warehouse experience3+ years of experience with extraction, transformation, and loading tools and development of strategies for loading data into production enterprise Data Warehouse3+ years of Data Warehouse development experience3+ years of production experience in an Oracle enterprise Data Warehouse3+ years of Data Stage ETL experienceAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from executives, directors, managers, clients and customersMust have dimensional modeling skills at the conceptual, logical, and physical levels, and experience documenting data modelsAbility to work in a rapid-development environmentAbility to work closely with customers in analyzing requirementsAbility to work flexible hoursProject management and technical leadershipStrong communication skills, written and spokenComfortable working independently, but has experience working in a team environmentSkills establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients and staffAbility to read, write, speak, and understand English requiredCan discern when escalation is neededExperience in Agile / SCRUM with sprint methodologies preferredFinance or Automotive Industry experience preferredBS and 6 + years or equivalent
