About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty. License: RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and progressive care experience required. Vent and transplant experience preferred. Description: Traveler will work in both the IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and the IMC Thoracic unit. Shifts are 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. Telemetry experience is required. Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. This position involves caring for patients with lung and esophageal diseases, lobectomies, decortications, and esophagectomies. Assistance with procedures such as chest tube insertion in the procedure room is expected. Strong teamwork, compassionate care, and critical thinking are essential in this role. Innovation and integration of evidence-based nursing practices into the unit culture are encouraged. Candidates must possess ICU or IMC and surgical post-operative experience. Travelers are required to float as needed. Floating as needed is a requirement. The facility treats adult and geriatric patient age groups. Daily census averages seven patients. Interdisciplinary support teams are available, including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and others. Candidates should have experience with key skills such as blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, and management of dysrhythmias. This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with various healthcare professionals.
