Customer Service Representative – Utility Billing & ServicePay: $23–$24 per hourAbel Personnel is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to support a client’s utility customer service team. In this role, you’ll help customers understand their bills, manage service requests, resolve account questions, and make sure information reaches the right team for follow-up.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people and is comfortable balancing phone calls with accurate account and administrative work.What You’ll DoRespond to customer calls and emails about billing, payments, and service.Research billing questions using meter readings, account records, and other information; prepare corrections when needed.Accept payments and post them to the correct accounts.Set up new accounts and process service starts, stops, transfers, and final bills.Enter service work orders and route complaints or requests to the appropriate department.Prepare routine customer correspondence, update records, and maintain organized files.Create and distribute reports to support follow-up and track customer service activity.Communicate with field service teams to help resolve customer account and service issues.What We’re Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED.At least one year of related customer service or office experience.Strong phone skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing.Comfort working with numbers, reviewing account details, and catching discrepancies.Accurate typing skills of approximately 50 words per minute.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, including spreadsheets.Ability to stay organized, protect confidential information, and meet accuracy and productivity expectations while handling interruptions.Experience with utility billing, customer accounts, payment processing, or service scheduling is helpful.Schedule: M - F 8am - 4:30pm.
