Position Purpose

The Data Analyst will support the organization through data analysis, reporting, and business insights that help drive strategic decision-making across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. This role will focus heavily on maintaining and analyzing internal and external data sources, developing reporting dashboards, identifying trends and opportunities, and supporting business initiatives through actionable insights.

The position will work closely with internal stakeholders to support sales reporting, promotional analysis, pricing analysis, category insights, and ad hoc business projects while helping ensure data accuracy and reporting consistency across the organization..

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in data analysis, business analytics, sales analytics, or a related role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and data modeling techniques.
• Experience using Power BI or other business intelligence and data visualization platforms.
• Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to query, manipulate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable business insights.
• Experience working with large datasets and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using AI powered tools and technologies to improve reporting, automate workflows, generate insights, and increase operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with generative AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar business productivity tools is a plus.
• Experience with syndicated market data sources such as Circana, Nielsen, SPINS, or Numerator.
• Experience within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Pet, Food, Retail, or Veterinary industries.
• Experience supporting Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, Category Management, or Finance teams.
• Experience with CRM, field execution, or sales reporting platforms such as Repsly.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis, forecasting, or predictive modeling techniques.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Develop and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and scorecards for Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Leadership teams.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual business reporting packages and performance summaries.
• Consolidate and analyze internal and external data sources to provide visibility into sales, product, customer, and promotional performance.
• Deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis to support business initiatives and decision making.

Business Insights & Analytics

• Identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities through analysis of sales, portfolio, customer, and market data.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for business stakeholders.
• Evaluate promotional effectiveness, pricing performance, and return on investment (ROI).
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning initiatives through data driven analysis.

Data Management & Systems

• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reporting data across systems and databases.
• Maintain and improve reporting tools, dashboards, and business intelligence platforms.
• Assist in developing automated reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Partner with internal teams to enhance data quality and reporting capabilities.

Sales & Commercial Support

• Support Sales and Trade Marketing teams with analytical insights and performance reporting.
• Assist with pricing, margin, category, and profitability analysis.
• Prepare data driven materials for customer meetings, business reviews, and internal presentations.
• Support special projects and strategic initiatives across sales channels.
