Accounting & Payroll Specialist

Accounting SpecialistWe are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our growing team at Green Vine Landscaping in Santa Rosa, CA. This role will support our financial operations by handling daily accounting tasks and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be proficient with accounting software and have experience in payroll processing. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to our company's continued success.ResponsibilitiesAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processesProcess and code invoices, expense reports, and check requestsSupport bi-weekly payroll processing for field crews and office staff including prevailing wagesHelp maintain compliance with payroll tax requirementsManage employee time tracking and PTO recordsPrepare bank deposits and assist with account reconciliationsSupport month-end and year-end closing proceduresMaintain organized and accurate financial recordsAssist with job costing for landscaping projectsGenerate routine financial reports as neededRespond to vendor and employee inquiriesPerform general administrative duties as requiredQualificationsAssociate's degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)2+ years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping roleExperience with payroll processing systemsProficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting softwareKnowledge of basic accounting principlesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretionExcellent time management and multi-tasking abilitiesEffective communication skills (Bilingual a plus)Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learnProficiency with Google Workplace, iMac and Microsoft applicationsCompensation & BenefitsHourly range: $28 - $30, based on experience and qualificationsHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development opportunitiesGreen Vine Landscaping is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
