TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Freeport, Illinois, 61032!

Job Title: Telemetry Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: State License required for submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Phlebotomy experience preferred Description: The position is within the telemetry unit. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 4-5 during the day and 5-6 at night. Common diagnoses include stroke, congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, and coronary artery disease. Experience with post-cath recovery and stroke care is highly preferred. Recent experience of 2+ years is required. Candidates must have experience titrating drips. Common titratable drips include Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Dopamine, while Heparin can be titrated. Telemetry monitoring is conducted on the unit, with RNs required to sign off on telemetry strips. Charge nurses have patient assignments. Nurse aides are available, with a ratio that depends on patient acuity. Respiratory therapy equipment such as BiPAP and high flow is utilized in the unit. Shifts are scheduled based on current needs with a requirement for weekends every other week. Holiday rotation may be required. Floating to ICU, medical-surgical units, and emergency room will take place as needed. Scrub color is flexible based on department guidelines. Travelers must disclose any previous employment within the organization.
