Shift Supervisor

North Suffolk is looking for a Shift Supervisor to join our team! The Shift Supervisor provides direct services to people in a residential setting in the areas of daily living skills, transportation, skill-building, money management, medication administration, risk mitigation and other areas based on the person centered treatment plan. The shift supervisor will assist with administrative supervision of Overnight Support Specialist/ Residential Support Specialist Il and/or will run on-site day programming.

What you'll do:

1. Implement Safety Plans, Crisis Prevention Plans and Response Plans in order to help prevent and mitigate risk factors.
2. Use evidenced based practices including motivational interviewing as directed by clinical supervisors.
3. Gather information about community agencies and families to assist person in the provision of services.
4. Document each person's progress in the confidential record according to established methods and procedures.
5. Organize and lead individual and group social and recreational activities to structure each persons time, increase social experiences, and provide opportunities to practice social skills and receive feedback and support.
6. Participate in all required clinical and skill trainings to enhance skills and knowledge base.

What you'll need:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree required with significant experience working with persons with serious and persistent mental illness and/or substance abuse.
• Experience: Knowledge of Recovery approaches for the treatment of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Knowledge of DMH regulations.
• Skills: Must obtain Massachusetts MAP within five (5) continuous months of hire (training provided). Must be CPR/First Aid certified or complete CPR/First Aid certification during orientation (training provided). Valid Mass driver's license required.
