IT Asset Manager

Job Title IT Asset Manager / Technical Support Client Direct State Client Location Little Rock, AR (Field travel statewide approx. 2 days/week via state vehicle) Position Type Contract (40 Hours/Week) | On-Site Only Position Summary Join the client as a Field IT Support Technician and Asset Manager. This role combines hands‑on technical support for field end-users across Arkansas with full‑lifecycle IT Asset Management (ITAM). You will serve as the primary link ensuring state field operations have reliable equipment, software, and infrastructure to support conservation efforts. Key Responsibilities ITAM & Lifecycle Management: Track and manage hardware and software assets from initial acquisition through active maintenance to secure decommissioning; maintain AMDB/CMDB database accuracy. Software Asset Management & Compliance: Enforce software request protocols, monitor license utilization, prevent over‑licensing, and manage vendor audit readiness. Procurement & Governance: Collaborate with fiscal teams to review hardware/software renewals, negotiate vendor pricing, and enforce ITAM approval workflows. Technical & Field Support: Provide hands‑on hardware/software troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices; assist with imaging and LAN connectivity across field offices. Ticketing & Reporting: Manage service requests via ticketing portals, maintain detailed system documentation, and generate regular reports on asset costs, risks, and refresh cycles. Statewide Travel: Travel to client offices statewide (average 2 days/week) using provided vehicles. Qualifications & Skill Requirements IT Asset Management (ITAM): Required — 3+ years of experience ITSM / ITAM Tool Administration: Required — 3+ years of experience Helpdesk / Field Technician Support: Required — 3+ years of experience End-User Hardware Support (Laptops, Desktops, Mobile): Required — 3+ years of experience Software Installation & Maintenance: Required — 3+ years of experience IT Certifications: Required — CompTIA A+, CSAM, CHAMP, ITIL v4, or similar NinjaOne RMM: Highly Desired — Hands‑on experience Freshservice ITSM/ITAM: Highly Desired — Hands‑on experience Google Workspace Administration: Desired — Operational experience Driver Requirements: Required — Valid Driver's License and active auto insurance for state vehicle usage Technical Environment Operating Systems: Windows 11, iOS, Android Directory & Management: Active Directory, Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM), MDM tools Security & Networking: Antivirus/security software, Network Monitoring & Discovery tools Primary Platforms: Freshservice, NinjaOne RMM
