Dental Assistant

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Florida Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a fulltime Dental Assistant to join our team at South Florida Receptin Center - Main Unit located in Doral, Florida.The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.Essential Duties:Preparing and sterilizing dental instrumentsPreparing and maintaining the dental operatoryOperating radiographic equipmentAdministrative tasks as neededMonday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm• High school diploma or GED equivalent required• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required• Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one required• Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employment• Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferred• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background checkBenefitsWe offer excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits for our full-time team members including:Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance401(k) with company matchGenerous paid time offPaid holidaysFlexible Spending AccountMuch more...Centurion Health contracts with state and local governments nationwide to provide comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings.
