Responsibilities Provides technical assistance to managers concerning appropriated and nonappropriated fund budgeting. Ensures correct production of budgets and their execution, including compliance with appropriate regulations. Reviews and analyzes financial reports to identify trends, working capital, and the NAFI's financial position. Ensures individual budgets are coordinated, realistic, and support long‑range planning. Consolidates budgets into a single NAFI package. Evaluates established internal policies, procedures, and management controls for adequacy and monitors compliance. Recommends changes and suggests solutions to managers. Performs analyses of proposed ventures, evaluates efficiency and effectiveness, and prepares/reviews return‑on‑investment schedules for capital projects. Executes Accounts Payable (AP) functions, ensuring accurate verification, coding, and timely processing of invoices, disbursements, and expense claims. Manages Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including billing, aging reports, incoming payments, and resolution of account discrepancies. Requirements Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required upon appointment. Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position, including a T1. Duty Station The Duty Station for this position is located at Fort Sam Houston, TX. Candidates are expected to physically reside within commuting distance of Fort Sam Houston, TX. Situational telework may be provided for weather‑related emergencies, office closures, or other situations requiring telework.
