Shipping Lead

Shipping Department DirectorResponsible for directing activities of the shipping department.Tasks related to this position may vary and are not limited to those listed below:Follow established safety rules, policies and procedures at all timesCorrespond with customers and sales using tools providedMonitor shipping schedule and correspond with SchedulerMaintain filing systemProcess customer pickups as requiredCollaborate, consult and communicate with other supervisors on all shiftsAdminister the truck scheduling systemDevelop delivery schedules for all ordersRecommend changes for improvements in efficiencies and performanceSchedule dock appointments with customers as neededCompile a daily performance report and distributeContact and schedule outside carriers as requiredAssist in warehouse as neededRespot trailers as neededReconcile daily shipping logEnsure prompt, accurate loading and shipping of finished product for customersMonitor all job functions to match quality and safety policiesEnsure prompt and accurate execution of all job functionsEnsure all projects completed timely and accuratelyWork from written and verbal directionsMaintain neat and orderly work areaFull-time role in a manufacturing plant/warehouse settingSkill set:Basic math and computer skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookOrganizational skillsQualifications desired:5 years of experience as a shipping supervisor or managerExperience in the corrugated packaging industry highly preferredHigh school diploma / GEDAbout BCIBuckeye Corrugated, Inc.
