Manufacturing Engineer Co-op

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or Industrial Engineer from an ABET accredited school
• Basic understanding of drafting software (preferabbly AutoCAD or SolidWorks or ProE)
• Hands-on technical experience gained through previous internships, university machine shops, or applied engineering teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

salary: $25 - $32 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Evaluation of OEM documentation compared to physical on site spare parts availability.
• Sourcing of spare parts that are obsolete or hard to find.
• Recommended upgrades and retrofits of obsolete parts.
• Communication between OEM and MSIG management.
• Implementation and qualification of upgraded/updated spare parts to improve sustainability.
• Development of downtime tracker pertaining to equipment.
• Evaluation of non planned work orders and development of appropriate PM program based on historical data and/or OEM recommendations.
• Other equipment/facility reliability initiatives as assigned.

Skills

• AutoCAD (6 months of experience is preferred)
• SolidWorks (6 months of experience is preferred)
• drafting software (6 months of experience is preferred)
