Clinical Psychologist Curated Mental Health – Manhattan, New York, United States (On-site) Job Title: Licensed Psychologist – Ph.D. (Specializing in CBT, DBT, Ketamine-Assisted Therapy, and Other Approved Therapies) Location: Outpatient Mental Health Clinic Patient Population: Individuals with Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, and PTSD Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ph.D.-level Licensed Psychologist with expertise in evidence-based psychotherapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, as well as versatility in other APA-approved therapeutic modalities. The ideal candidate will work in an outpatient setting providing treatment to a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This role emphasizes the integration of innovative and traditional treatment approaches, with a strong commitment to individualized, compassionate care. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for patients presenting with mood disorders, anxiety disorders (e.g., GAD, OCD, panic disorder), and PTSD. Develop individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based therapies, aligning with the specific needs of each patient. Utilize standardized diagnostic tools and clinical judgment to evaluate the severity and impact of disorders. Provide individual and group therapy using a range of APA-approved modalities. Deliver Ketamine-Assisted Therapy, adhering to clinical safety protocols and integration therapy practices. Incorporate other relevant evidence-based modalities to address the psychological and emotional well-being of patients. Collaborate with medical professionals to assess the need for medication adjustments or higher levels of care. Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, social workers, and primary care providers—to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care. Participate in regular clinical rounds to discuss complex cases, share insights, and contribute to treatment adjustments for optimal patient outcomes. Engage in continuous communication with team members to coordinate care across disciplines and enhance patient recovery. Report to the Medical Director for clinical oversight and administrative matters. Work closely with the Medical Director to review patient progress, refine therapeutic approaches, and ensure the clinic’s treatment protocols align with best practices. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes using electronic medical records (EMR). Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all relevant legal, ethical, and regulatory standards for outpatient mental health practices. Stay current with developments in psychotherapy research and emerging treatments, especially within the areas of mood, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and ketamine-assisted therapies. Attend regular training sessions, continuing education workshops, and supervision as required to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills. Minimum Qualifications Education: Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from a US accredited program. Licensure: Active and unrestricted license to practice psychology in NY state. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years postdoctoral experience in an outpatient setting. Demonstrated expertise in CBT and DBT with strong outcomes in treating mood and anxiety disorders. Experience in Ketamine-Assisted Therapy. Desired Skills Advanced clinical skills in psychotherapeutic interventions and evidence-based practices. Ability to develop strong therapeutic alliances with a diverse patient population. Excellent communication skills and capacity for team collaboration.
