Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical care. The RN will provide care for adult patients, focusing on post-surgical recovery and management of various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients recovering from surgeries, including those with abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and bariatric surgery.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes effectively and safely.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Monitor and document patient progress and vital signs accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• Active New York State RN license required.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• NURSYS report for license verification.
• Previous travel nursing experience is mandatory.
