Receiving Clerk - 2nd Shift

This is a full-time position located in Orlando, FL.

The Receiving Clerk, 2nd Shift plays a key role in supporting UDT's customer product receiving process at the Integration Center in Orlando, FL, and is part of the Lifecycle Services solution. People in this role are part of a team responsible for receiving, handling, inspecting, and organizing all incoming goods, while accurately recording essential information in UDT's Order Management System. Persons in this role must possess extraordinary attention to detail, with an understanding of safe product handling techniques and proper loading, offloading, and inventory management methodologies in accordance with UDT and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining quality standards for physical hardware handling and receiving in accordance with established methodologies and guidance from 2nd shift supervisory staff.
• Responsible for communicating and coordinating with incoming freight carriers to manage the volume of incoming goods and pallets and ensure an efficient receiving process.
• Responsible for collaborating with 2nd shift inventory staff to coordinate inventory activities and prepare for daily receiving operations.
• Responsible for maintaining knowledge of established storage methodologies, locations, and techniques to properly organize, count, verify, and safely move inventory throughout the facility.
• Accountable for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all received goods and maintaining consistency between internal production software and company accounting records.
• Responsible for communicating with internal accounting and order management teams to resolve discrepancies between expected and received goods.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate receiving paperwork, documentation, inspection records, and required reporting metrics for all incoming goods.
• Responsible for ensuring proper handling, storage, and organization of customer equipment to maintain product quality and integrity.
• Accountable for following established safety procedures and quality control standards throughout receiving and inventory operations.

Qualifications:

• High School Degree or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years' experience in warehouse and/or production environments and systems OR
• A combination of education and experience of equivalent time frame demonstrating similar skillsets applicable for the above listed responsibilities.
• Demonstrated knowledge and comfortability working with computer systems and hardware, along with a basic understanding of computer operating system concepts.
• Ability to work standing and bending for a full shift, performing repetitive pulling, counting, and organizational procedures during peak volume days.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.
• Strong process orientation and attention to detail.
• Strong mathematical skills to maintain accurate inventory counts, perform analysis, and generate and interpret reports.
• Forklift certification preferred but not required.

• Ability to work independently without direct, constant management to execute assigned tasks.
• Ability to confidently operate laptop, desktop, and tablet computers.
• Ability to interpret instructions from workflows and work orders to execute desired outcomes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other departments to manage the flow of incoming goods and support production goals and inventory needs.
• Ability to work 2nd shift hours, weekends, and occasionally later hours as business needs require.
• Must be able to physically lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds over a distance of 20 feet.
• Ability to operate a manual pallet jack is required.
• Ability to communicate professionally and use diplomacy in challenging situations when working with a variety of personnel.
• Must be able to read and understand English instructions.
• Ability to ensure the safe handling and care of new customer equipment, maintaining product integrity throughout movement, organization, and storage.
• Maintain acceptable levels of quality control to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Adherence to all generally accepted safety protocols and procedures in a mixed office/warehouse environment.
• Ability to review project and task requirements and work effectively within a small team to accomplish goals accurately and on time.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to moving machinery, moderate to loud noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, twisting, stooping, reaching, grasping, and repetitive movements throughout the workday.
