Are you a skilled TIG Welder looking for an opportunity to work on a variety of custom projects instead of the same repetitive parts every day? What You'll Do

• Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum weldments, including hydraulic reservoirs and custom fabricated components.

• Complete occasional MIG welding as needed based on project requirements.

• Fabricate and assemble parts using blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.

• Work with materials ranging from 12-gauge to 1/4-inch thickness.

• Grind, clean, and finish your own welds to meet quality and appearance standards.

• Inspect finished work for accuracy and quality before moving parts to the next stage of production.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

• Collaborate with fabrication and production teams to ensure customer specifications and deadlines are met.

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of TIG welding experience, or a Welding degree/certificate from a technical program.

• Experience welding aluminum and stainless steel.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.

• Experience with grinding and finishing welds.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Ability to work independently while meeting production goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fabrication or job shop environment.

• MIG welding experience.

• Experience with custom fabrication projects rather than high-volume production.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

You'll work in a fast-paced fabrication shop specializing in custom metal fabrication, hydraulic reservoirs, and small-order production runs. The shop works with a variety of materials and project types, giving welders the opportunity to continually expand their skills and tackle new challenges. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
