Pharmacy Technician – Contract

Start Date: 07/27/2026

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Nights

Schedule: 4 x 10-Hour Shifts (5:30 PM – 4:00 AM)

Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Pay Rate: $35–$37/hr

Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,400–$1,480/week

Assignment Type: EXCLUSIVE Epic Assignment

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Hospital Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations in an acute care setting. Candidates must have 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience , sterile IV compounding experience , and current Epic EMR experience . No call required.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience
Sterile IV compounding experience required
Acute care hospital experience required
Strong knowledge of medication preparation and distribution
Ability to work independently on night shift
Current Epic EMR experience required

Required Credentials

Active California Pharmacy Technician License
Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or equivalent) preferred
High School Diploma or GED (Associate's Degree preferred)

Facility Details

162-bed Acute Care Hospital
Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
County-designated Trauma Center
EMR: EPIC and Cerner experience required
Pharmacy staffed by 3–4 Pharmacists and 3–4 Pharmacy Technicians
No Call Required
Weekend coverage up to every other weekend
Special Procedures: Sterile IV Compounding
Scrubs provided for IV Pharmacy Technicians
