Junior Accountant

Junior AccountantA growing home care agency is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1–3 years of accounting experience who is looking to build a career in healthcare finance. The Junior Accountant will assist with day-to-day accounting functions, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close.ResponsibilitiesAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivablePrepare and post journal entriesPerform bank and credit card reconciliationsMaintain accurate financial records and general ledger accountsAssist with month-end and year-end closing processesSupport payroll reconciliation and expense trackingPrepare financial reports and spreadsheetsAssist with audits and regulatory documentation as neededWork closely with the billing and payroll teams to ensure financial accuracyPerform other accounting and administrative duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred1–3 years of accounting experience (healthcare or home care experience is a plus)Strong understanding of accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting softwareExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong communication and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferred ExperienceExperience in home care, healthcare, or staffingFamiliarity with payroll and Medicaid reimbursement processesExperience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or SageCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceHealth benefitsPaid time offOpportunities for professional growth and advancement
