General Liability Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a General Liability Associate Attorney in Miami, Florida. Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda. Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts. Manage all aspects of written discovery. Represent clients at court hearings and mediations. Develop litigation strategies with senior attorneys and clients. Maintain regular communication with clients. Collaborate on complex matters involving general liability and related claims. Assist with trial preparation and coordination with experts. Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. Qualifications JD from an ABA accredited law school. Admitted to practice in the state of Florida. 2+ years of defense litigation experience. Experience with general liability, premises, transportation, or insurance defense. Maritime experience is strongly preferred. Experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions. Skills Superior analytical skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Sophisticated technical skills. Handling court appearances, depositions, and trial experience a plus.
