What You'll Do as a Forensic Financial Manager Manage & monitor all fiscal functions within the program by conducting thorough forensic financial analysis of businesses, individuals or groups identified as participating in suspicious or illegal activity; Conduct, oversee & manage advanced analysis of financial data & other information relevant to financial crimes, including activity involving cryptocurrency; Identify & trace funding sources & interrelated transactions; Identify assets for forfeiture or seizure & calculate losses; Compile findings & conclusions into financial investigative reports; Establish priorities & supervise subordinate personnel (e.g. provide developmental opportunities & work direction, coach staff to foster development, monitor staff activities to ensure quality customer service & information technology security, evaluate performance, approve section staffing levels, recommend discipline, pre-screen applications & participate in interviews); Why Work for the State of Ohio At the State of Ohio, we take care of the team that cares for Ohioans. Qualifications OPTION 1: 48 mos. exp conducting research & writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical &/or statistical research techniques. OPTION 2: -Or completion of graduate core program in homeland security, political science, criminal justice, emergency management, public health, international affairs or related field; AND 12 mos. exp. conducting research & writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical &/or statistical research techniques. OPTION 3: -Or 12 mos. exp. as Public Safety Intelligence Analyst, 64931. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above. Job Skill: Public Safety Supplemental Information TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT REQUIRED TO REMAIN IN THE CLASSIFICATION AFTER EMPLOYMENT: If required, must obtain LEADS certification; must renew LEADS certification biannually. Additionally, some positions at Department of Public Safety must be able to obtain & maintain secret level federal security clearance. UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: May require some travel. Working hours will include nights, weekends and holidays, based on operational need. Position also requires the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Secret level Security Clearance. Requires valid driver's license to operate state-owned vehicle or must be able to provide own transportation. This position is essential, meaning the duties this job performs are critical to the continued operations of the Ohio Department of Public Safety during a public safety emergency (OAC 123: 1-46-01 & DAS Directive HR-D-11). This position will be required to report for duty during any public safety emergency. A BCI and FBI fingerprint check, a background check, including a polygraph examination, may be required on all selected applicants.
