The primary focus is to maximize equipment quality, uptime, rate, and yield. This position supports plant operations through advanced troubleshooting and maintenance activities and is ideal for individuals with strong electrical and mechanical aptitude who are committed to safety and continuous improvement.What You'll DoPerform electrical maintenance on equipment while following all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)Ensure all guards and safety equipment are properly installed and functioning before returning equipment to operationMonitor inventory levels of parts, equipment, and supplies; place orders and verify receipts as neededUtilize manual and computerized maintenance management systems to track, inspect, and report equipment statusRead and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment and machineryTroubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and quality issues, escalating concerns as neededPerform breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance, and changeover tasks on production equipmentIdentify and report safety, quality, operational, or output issues when unable to correct independentlyObserve mechanical devices in operation and use precision instruments to diagnose and resolve problemsFabricate repair parts using machine shop tools and equipmentMaintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with all safety regulations and company proceduresOperate powered industrial trucks, overhead cranes, and portable cranes as requiredSupport continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to problem-solving effortsComply with OSHA safety standards, including hazard communication, lockout procedures, and ergonomic guidelinesPromote a culture of health and safety in accordance with company policies and regulatory standardsPerform additional duties as assigned by the supervisorWho You AreMinimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance roleHigh school diploma or equivalent required; apprenticeship, journeyman training, military service, or equivalent mechanical/electrical training preferredProficiency in using hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, and interpreting technical drawingsStrong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with electrical systems and PLCsEffective communication skills in English, with the ability to perform basic math calculationsDemonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, safety-focused environmentAbility to pass job-related testing, an employment physical, and a drug screeningStrong teamwork skills with a willingness to collaborate and contribute to team successPhysical AbilitiesAbility to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 poundsAbility to stand or walk for extended periods throughout the shiftAbility to bend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, and reach in all directions as neededAbility to perform work in a manufacturing or industrial environmentWhat You'll GetZekeman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental coverage.
