SAP Archiving Consultant

Role: SAP Archiving Consultant Location: Remote Responsibilities Perform end-to-end SAP Data Archiving configuration and execution using SARA. Analyze SAP database growth (tables, indexes, logs) and define archiving strategies. Develop and maintain archive objects, variants, jobs, and monitoring scripts. Integrate SAP ArchiveLink with external storage systems (e.g., OpenText, PBS). Configure and manage SAP ILM (Information Lifecycle Management) for retention & legal hold. Implement data aging in SAP HANA where applicable. Troubleshoot failed archiving jobs, performance issues, and storage connectivity. Work with Basis, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to manage storage performance. Create technical documentation, SOPs, and automation scripts for recurring activities. Qualifications 6–10 years of SAP Basis/Technical experience, with 6+ years in Data Archiving. Deep knowledge of SAP archiving objects, SARA transaction, Archive Development Kit (ADK). Experience with Archive Information System (SAP AS, infostructures). Strong understanding of SAP ILM framework and GDPR/compliance requirements. Hands-on with HANA Data Archiving & Data Aging. Experience integrating with external storage (OpenText, PBS, Content Servers, Cloud storage). Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning expertise. Nice-to-Have Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA archiving strategy. Experience in system migrations, upgrades, and cloud storage integration (AWS/Azure/GCP). Experience in large global SAP landscapes with high-volume archiving. #J-18808-Ljbffr
