Job Description

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Dental Hygienist to become part of our dedicated team!

Our expanding dental practice is looking for a Dental Hygienist . In this role, you will support the dentist with various procedures and operate x-ray equipment. To excel in this position, a valid state hygiene license and prior experience as a dental hygienist are essential.

Key Responsibilities of the Dental Hygienist:

Utilizing dental tools to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth and below gum margins.
Reviewing and documenting patient medical histories.
Employing probes to assess and identify periodontal issues and other signs of gum disease.
Documenting dental decay and diseases for the dentist's diagnosis and treatment.
Maintaining dental instruments and x-ray machinery.
Conducting visual and tactile examinations of gums for signs of disease, sores, and other oral health concerns.
Encouraging preventive dental care to enhance patient oral health.
Applying fluoride and other agents to prevent dental decay.
Collaborating with dentists and dental assistants.
Managing a dental hygiene program for patients.

Qualifications and Requirements for the Dental Hygienist:

Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program.
Valid state hygiene license.
Current CPR certification.
Capability to administer local anesthetics.
Proficient in operating x-ray machines.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
Comfortable using computers for various tasks.
In-depth knowledge of oral hygiene and dental health.
