Position Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join their established specialty dental team in Sarasota, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical care to patients of all appropriate ages
• Perform surgical extractions, including complex and impacted teeth
• Perform dental implant placement and related surgical procedures
• Diagnose and develop comprehensive surgical treatment plans
• Perform bone grafting and other pre-prosthetic surgical procedures as appropriate
• Evaluate and manage oral pathology and other surgical conditions
• Collaborate closely with general dentists, Periodontists, and other specialists
• Educate patients regarding treatment options, risks, benefits, and post-operative care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and deliver a high standard of patient care
• Utilize modern surgical techniques and technology to achieve excellent clinical outcomes

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
• Completion of an accredited Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency program
• Active Florida Dental License or ability to obtain licensure prior to start
• Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery preferred
• Strong surgical and diagnostic skills
• Experience with dental implants, extractions, bone grafting, and comprehensive oral surgery procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to clinical excellence and exceptional patient care
• Ability to work collaboratively with general dentists and other dental specialists
