Facilities Engineer

This position is responsible for assessing geothermal power facility performance and implementing projects/changes/procedures to improve plant power generation, reliability, and safety. Responsibilities: Performance Engineering Use power plant data collection systems to evaluate plant performance (thermodynamic cycle, pumps, heat exchangers, turbine-generator sets, mechanical health)Use performance findings to help Operations maximize electricity generation and equipment reliability Propose projects to improve facility performance, reliability, and/or safetyProvide project design and managementSelect and manage vendors for specialized projects and servicesCreate QA/QC plans for projects; manage compliance, documentation, and post-implementation monitoringProvide facilities troubleshooting proactively and when requiredConduct root cause investigations and develop mitigation strategies for equipment failuresAssist in planning, coordinating, and executing work scopes for plant outages Organizational Support Present and support technical analysis to Operations/Management teamDeliver or advise on standard maintenance practices and potential improvementsWrite and maintain standard operating procedures for facility equipmentProvide peer review of technical proposals from within and outside the organization Travel to power plants regularly to provide on-site support and establish relationships with plant staffSupport Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, including MOC and PHACollaborate with stakeholders to ensure designs and installations meet environmental and safety requirements
