Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered specializing in Pediatric care is sought in Pontiac, Michigan. This position involves providing comprehensive respiratory therapy services to pediatric patients, including ventilator management, airway maintenance, diagnostics, and patient education. Responsibilities include conducting treatments, monitoring patient progress, operating ventilatory equipment, and collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT), valid licensure, and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in pediatric respiratory care.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric respiratory procedures and ventilator management.
• Additional Information: The respiratory therapist will perform routine and emergent procedures such as airway management, pulmonary function testing, arterial punctures, chest physiotherapy, and emergency resuscitation according to policy. They will operate and maintain ventilatory equipment, assist with procedures like bronchoscopy and chest tube placements, and document all treatments and patient responses accurately.
