Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of Charge Experience preferred License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - End-Tidal CO2 monitoring - Activated Clotting Time (ACT) - Angioplasty - Antiarrhythmics - Antihypertensives - Cardiac Stent Placement - Cardioversion - Carotid Stenting - Circulate Procedures - Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab - Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult) - Emergency Medications - IABP Placement/Removal - Impella insertion - Infection Prevention - Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias - Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab - Interventional Catheterizations - Isolation Precautions/PPE - IV vasopressors - Left heart catheterization - Monitoring Procedural Sedation - Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG - Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) - Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring - Pulmonary Angiography - Pulmonary Embolization - Reversal agents - Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale - Right heart catheterization - Rotablator atherectomy - Sheath Removal/Monitoring - Thrombolytics - Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) - Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography - Vascular Closure Systems Description: The Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab provides direct patient care. The position requires experience in various cardiac procedures. The role involves monitoring patients during diagnostics and interventions. The nurse will work collaboratively with the healthcare team. Attention to infection control practices is essential. The role may include participation in on-call scheduling. Patient safety and comfort are top priorities. Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage patients experiencing dysrhythmias.
