Lifeguard & Swim Instructor Part-Time and On-Call Positions Available Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour The Salvation Army’s Ray & Joan Kroc Community Center is hiring and offers the following benefits to part-time employees: Generous paid time off, including holidays, vacation, and sick leave Employer-funded Pension Plan (contributions begin after 1 year of employment and for those working 20+ hours/week) Eligibility for supplemental insurance plans such as Voluntary Term Life & AD&D, AFLAC Insurance A job with a meaningful purpose Qualifications: American Red Cross Certification in Lifeguard and CPR/AED/FA for the Professional Rescuer Willingness to complete Park Lifeguarding course Meet The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center of Boston skill standards Dependable, alert, and able to positively interact with people of all ages and backgrounds American Red Cross Certification Water Safety Instructor Experience as a certified lifeguard and instructor Ability to work in an office/pool environment with diverse professional staff Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications and desktop software Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment Lifeguard Instructor and Water Safety Instructor Certifications Water Exercise Instructor Certification Ability to instruct diverse groups of learners The Lifeguard & Swim Instructor is responsible for patron safety, teaching water fitness, swim lessons, and private lessons.
