Play a pivotal role in supporting students’ educational journeys as a dedicated school paraprofessional working collaboratively within a vibrant learning community. This contract position offers the chance to positively impact students across elementary, middle, or high school levels, all within a single campus setting. Enjoy a consistent 35-hour work week and meaningful work supporting a range of academic, behavioral, and health-related needs under the mentorship of seasoned special education teachers.
Key Qualifications:
- Possession of a current special education program aide license OR a special education license in another area
- Previous experience in educational, childcare, or support roles is valued
- Compassionate, adaptable, and able to engage with students of various ages and needs
- Willingness to assist with health care management, academic supports, and behavioral interventions as directed
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with special education staff to carry out individualized student support plans
- Provide academic, social-emotional, and behavioral assistance to students within classrooms or throughout the school
- Aid in implementing and reinforcing teacher-directed interventions and accommodations
- Participate in managing transitions, routines, and daily activities
- Support students’ independence while promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Adapt to serving across elementary, middle, or high school based on changing needs
This role offers the flexibility of working on a unified campus serving grades 4K-12, fostering continuity for students and staff. The assignment will start as soon as possible and continue for the designated contract duration.
