Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 10 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Alaska license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Credentials: - Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

Special Requests: - RTO must be listed at time of submission. - RTO restrictions: Based upon request. - Candidates’ permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility. - All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility. - You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. - Pets are not allowed in facility-provided housing. - Housing move-in is available not earlier than 72 hours before the contract begins and not longer than 24 hours after the contract ends. - Bringing additional family members is not common and requires facility approval.

Shift & Scheduling: - Shifts will be either days (07:00-19:00) or nights (19:00-07:00), dependent on facility needs at time of start date. - Caregivers are not asked to rotate between day and night shifts, with occasional exceptions for urgent staffing needs. - No on-call required. - Weekend requirement: Yes. - Flexible contract hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks.

Unit Details: - Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population.

Floating Requirements: - Will float within scope to meet facility needs.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
