IT Manager

Job Description We are offering a contract-to-permanent employment opportunity for an IT Manager. In this role, you will lead a team of IT professionals, managing IT functions and systems operations, and delivering IT services to end-users and customers. You will be tasked with ensuring optimal performance and availability of our computer systems and communication networks. Responsibilities Provide supervision and direction to IT staff, coordinating workflow and resolving technical issues. Collaborate with various teams to implement IT policies, procedures, and standards. Lead corporate compliance with data security regulations and recommend improvements to data security policies. Manage technical support for specialized database applications, including data import/export and product integration. Partner with external vendors and internal stakeholders to maintain business operations continuity. Perform application testing and evaluation. Monitor and plan for end-of-life cycles by reviewing vendor documents and best practices. Provide input on project planning and task management. Install, repair, and configure new and used computers according to site specifications. Conduct staff training and attend professional development training and conferences. Develop project plans, coordinate projects, and communicate changes and progress. Qualifications Must possess a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Requires extensive experience in an IT management role within the service industry. Proven expertise with Oracle and Microsoft SQL is essential. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage IT projects and ensure objectives are met. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and operations best practices. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Proven experience in IT strategic planning and development. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks. Strong understanding of project management principles.
