Position Overview

Wayne Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse with Mother Baby experience for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable caring for patients throughout labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care while delivering compassionate, family-centered care in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and Mother Baby patients.

• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery.

• Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and obstetric procedures.

• Provide postpartum assessments and newborn care.

• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.

• Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies while maintaining patient safety.

• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR .

• Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License

• Recent Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby experience (Required)

• BLS Certification

• NRP Certification

• AWHONN Certification

• STABLE Certification (Strongly Recommended)

• Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred.

• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient assessment skills.
