This individual will work in a variety of areas of the manufacturing facility developing PLC and HMI code for automated Brewing/Batching equipment while also troubleshooting industrial controls and electrical systems. They will also provide mentorship and coaching to our Electricians and ensure Operations leaders are informed of any challenges or opportunities of improvement on the floor. The job will primarily be in Brewing/Batching but will also support other departments throughout the plant as needed.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign and program all aspects of PLC/HMI software for packaging equipmentTest and debug control systemsCreate, update, and modify machine, part or facilities schematics using a CAD programBoth AC and DC Drive experience with various drive platformsWrite and modify, extensive PLC's and HMI's programs for the following:Rockwell Automation/Allen BradleyModiconTroubleshoot or establish control networks.EtherNet / IPDeviceNetDH-485ModbusModbus PlusProLeitTroubleshoots systems including but not limited to: electrical, instrumentation and controlsElectrical schematic design and drafting using AutoCAD ElectricalTroubleshoots process control systems in particular packaging line control systemsPerforms all duties within GMP standardsPerforms all functions as required within the CMMSTrain, mentor and coach trainees and front line automation techsPerform additional duties as assignedResponsible for department compliance with GMP, HACCP and FSMA guidelinesMinimum QualificationsDegree in Electrical Engineering, or 5+ years' experience in PLC controls engineering in lieu of degreeAllen Bradley PLC and motion controls experienceSkilled in RS Logix 500 and StudioProLeit experiencePrior experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvementSystem process controls and line balancing experienceAdvanced knowledge of electrical systems, control power and drives, sanitary control principals, operation and trouble shootingExperience in food/beverage processingExcellent communication, planning, and prioritizationStrong leadership and team skillsBenefits/CompensationCity Brewery provides a competitive salary and benefit package that includes: Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Long Term Disability Insurance; Section 125; 401(k) and a paid 30-minute meal period.
