Job Coach Position At The Bradley SchoolThe Bradley School is a licensed private academy educating students who present with special education needs. These students may have learning, emotional and/or behavioral challenges and struggle to succeed in a traditional classroom setting. We are looking for someone with initiative, creativity and a desire to have a positive impact on a child's life.Primary Responsibilities:Provide on-site support and supervision to students at job training, internship, or community based vocational sitesTeach and model appropriate workplace behaviors, communication skills, and job-specific tasksAssist students in developing independence, self-advocacy, and problem-solving skills in the workplaceCollaborate with employers, site supervisors, and school staff to ensure job placements align with student goals and abilitiesMonitor student performance, collect data, and document progress toward Individualized Education Program (IEP) and transition goalsAdapt tasks or environments as needed to accommodate student strengths and needsQualities Best Suited For The Position:Clear verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of empathy/patienceAdvocacy modelingA motivating attitudeCultural sensitivity
