Dance Associate (P/T) Instructor Pool - Ballroom - Fall 2026

Job Overview MiraCosta College is accepting applications for an instructor to teach Ballroom Dance for the Fall Semester 2026 at the Oceanside Campus. The course introduces principles and techniques of American ballroom dances, including slow waltz, tango, Viennese waltz, foxtrot, swing, and quickstep. Students learn and perform while improving alignment, timing, coordination, and partnering techniques. Residency Requirement MiraCosta College Board Policy 7800 requires all associate faculty employees to maintain and reside permanently in a principal place of residence in California within 200 road miles of the assigned district worksite. Associate faculty with a fully online assignment must reside in California, but may be beyond the 200‑mile limit without exception. Temporary residence outside the state or the 200‑mile limit may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis for up to twelve consecutive months. Responsibilities Under direction, plan, organize, and teach assigned courses in accordance with approved course outlines, education code requirements, and faculty contract provisions; provide feedback and guidance to students; evaluate student performance; and perform related duties as assigned.
